Maybe Now Dems Can Hate Terrorists

February 1st, 2008

Fat chance though:

Two mentally retarded women strapped with remote-control explosives—and possibly used as unwitting suicide bombers—brought carnage Friday to two pet bazaars, killing at 73 people in the deadliest day since Washington flooded the capital with extra troops last spring.

But wait…they’re not the Chimpler.

…AND 9/11 AND 7/7 AND…

September 11th, 2007

Ooops.

September 1st, 2007

I’m just not feeling sorry for this guy…in fact, I’m going to go have a beer in celebration right now,, it’s 12:12 on a Saturday, so it’s officially the afternoon. Here’s the toast: “To social Darwinism, the only kind of Darwinism I trust and believe in.”

I can only hope the AP reporter who was probably video taping that got some shrapnel in the leg…just for the sake of Karma.

Natural Disasters

July 6th, 2007

I was listening to the radio the other day, and one of my favorite pundits of the right, Mark Steyn, was on Hugh Hewitt’s show and said something that i think deserves another look.

HH: I want to switch over to media for a second. In the Boston Globe today, there was a headline, Giuliani Watchers Wonder If He Will Overplay 9/11 Card. Now I find that somewhat repulsive to refer to 9/11 as a card to be played, or sort of a theater run that may be coming to its end, as opposed to a crisis and a state or frame of mind. But then I thought about it more. That really is how the left views 9/11 now, as an event to be manipulated.

MS: Well, the fact of the matter is that there are two views on 9/11. And leaving aside the kook left for a minute, the soft left, summarized by the Boston Globe, doesn’t think it was an act of war. They think it was something sad that happened, it was sad it happened, like a tsunami, like a tornado, and it blew in out of nowhere, and people were killed, and we should all hold hands, and have a candlelight vigil, but it’s not something with implications, strategic implications to the United States. And so that’s why they see it as a card. They think Giuliani is exploiting a sad, tragic event that we were weepy about it five years ago, but it’s over, move on. And Giuliani sees it as something that is the great central challenge to America’s national security interest. That’s not a card. The people who think of it that way, I mean, that’s a very revealing edit from the Boston Globe, because it actually gets to the heart of the difference…

HH: Yup.

MS: …you know, that great divide between people who see it as an event of profound implication for American policy, and others who think it’s just like an ice storm or a tsunami.

southpark-sand.jpgI think we have a real left-right divide here. I think Steyn summarized it effectively and succinctly…attack vs. disaster…action vs. vigil.

But hey…why pay attention? It’s all a bumper sticker. A picture speaks a thousand words…especially when it’s f-in South Park.

The Happiest Place in Iraq

May 24th, 2007

Smoking gun has released recently declassified information found in a safe house in Iraq.  This information is startling, to say the least, and simply reveals the cold and inhumane way Al Qaeda deals with its captives: ruthlessly.  In this article, there are specific instructions (including pictures for those of you who don’t read) on ways to torture, including the proper way to gouge out eyes, drill hands and sever limbs.  If you can stomach it, I would encourage you to read the article.  Perhaps it is mere coincidence that such a wonderful place exists in Iraq (since we aren’t fighting our enemies in Iraq, but attacking innocent victims).  Perhaps this “Happiest Place in Iraq” is simply Al Qaeda’s response to Abu Ghraib (after all I think it is a fair trade – underwear on head = being suspended from ceiling and electrocuted).  I just thought this newly released info deserved a bit more attention than Rosie and Elizabeth from The View.

The Religion of Peace

I get into regular debates with liberal coworkers and friends who try to morally equate Christianity to Islam…as if both are the same. Do yourself a favor and watch these Undercover videos of “Mainstream” Islam in the UK. There is a real threat that we are dealing with…as the Imams say: “You have to live like a state within a state, until you take over.”

Merry Christmas Indeed!

A little embittered that I am working today when apparently most of the OC is not, my attitude has changed from resentment to pure delight.  My heart is overjoyed at the idea that justice might be served, and I will be absolutely giddy if it all pans out.  Saddam is to be hanged in 30 days.  Get out the popcorn people…there’s nothing like a good ol’ fashioned public hanging to start the near year off right!  By the way, do note that the Amnesty International is all pissy about the decision to quicken Saddam’s dirt nap.  All the more reason to get the ball rolling, or more specifically, the Hussein swinging!

The Arm of God

December 6th, 2006

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad:

“These oppressive countries are angry with us … a nation that on the other side of the globe has risen up and proved the shallowness of their power,” Ahmadinejad said in a speech in the northern town of Ramsar, the semi-official news agency Mehr reported Wednesday.

“They are angry with our nation. But we tell them ’so be it and die from this anger’. Rest assured that if you do not respond to the divine call, you will die soon and vanish from the face of the earth,” he said.

“Thank to God’s help, we have gone all the way and are only one step away from the zenith…We hope to have the big nuclear celebration by the end of the year (March 2007),” Ahmadinejad said, echoing comments he has made on numerous occasions in recent months.

Are we going to look back five years from now, as we wander the barren wastelands of the desert with our dog that communicates with us via a Psychic connection (10 points to whoever gets that reference), and say “Wow, we should have taken that ‘Nuclear Celebration, you will die soon’ thing seriously.”

Some people throw tempter tantrums as a global cry for attention, but others feel it’s their divine imperative to act at the sweeping arm of God, and the God of Islam has a different goal it seems than the God of Christianity…not a lot of “turning the other cheek” type behavior. Extremist one might say? Possibly…but an extremist who was voted into office and represents a country of 68 million people who have nuclear ambitions and aren’t shy about their hatred of us, Israel, and probably puppies and ice cream.

To rehash some of my favorite quotes:

The wave of the Islamic revolution will soon reach the entire world.
Anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation’s fury.

This of course if accompanied by the famous “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” chants that are the soundtrack to his many speaking appearances. There’s probably not an equivilant of CAIR in the Middle East to defend the US from global slander…I’m assuming they’d probably be tried and hanged for Insults against the Prophet, or speaking on a Tuesday, or some other ridiculous restriction on speech that ends in a sharp blade on the back of the neck.

MIDDLE EAST TANGENTS: Visit Angel’s page at Woman Honor Thyself as she has a great post on the forgotten kidnapped Israeli soldiers. Rightwing guy has his thoughts on the Iraqi report released today. Last but not least, Dog Humor since the wife occassionally reads this to see what’s keeping me up.
