The Stout Republican

Any government that passes legislation that “creates jobs”, only does so at the expense of someone else’s money. Government creates job by taking government funds, your tax dollars, and giving them to someone else. Government doesn’t make wealth…any time government “creates”, it’s only by taking from someone else.

The private sector is the only sector that can create jobs…however, at every turn, the private sector is being hindered by government intervention.

Government is God now. Deal with it.

Irresponsible

For years I heard that dissent is patriotic. That to question one leaders, indeed, to be cynical of ones own government shows character and intelligence. To agree with your leaders and to follow them shows a lack of mental fortitude. I heard that Bush could do no right, and I was expected to defend him in every way. I looked for a President, they looked for a Messiah. To them it was always a Zero sum game. Because I felt that George Bush kept us safe after 9-11, I was naive, because there was never a threat in the first place…or better yet, we created that threat.

I heard that the true patriots were the Revolutionaries, the radicals, and the belligerent. The true thinkers were those who played the game of moral equivalency, and at the root of every problem, if one dug deep enough, one would find the American War Machine.

For the last 8 years I questioned my President when necessary, disagreed with him when wrong, and supported him when he stood against our enemies or for my ideals. I gave him the respect that the others refused to give him.

But now, like an episode of the Twilight Zone, things have changed. To question is unpatriotic, even racist. To disagree is tantamount to treason, and to hope that policies that I think are dangerous to the blocks on which this country was built means that I “just don’t get it”. It seems to me that for those critics of Bush, and supporters of Obama…it’s still that zero sum game. It’s all or nothing. Their commandments dictate that what their leader decrees, must become sacrament, and what he heralds as evil, must be destroyed. My leaders are men. Their leaders are Gods. What else would explain the aggressive unwillingness to question? What else would explain the inquisition like reactions to dissent? What else would explain the blind faith?

I’ve shown that I can both question and support my leaders, and while I will always give the office it’s due respect, I will not, and have never given that office my blind faith and fealty. Can you say the same?

You said, “Dissent is the Highest Form of Patriotism”. Are you willing to back that now?

I just got my first direct dose of the blog site, Daily Kos, and I no longer wonder why this time the sky might actually be at risk of falling. EWWWh and EEEek! Reading many of the posts and subsequent comments raises my level of concern at the complete and total corruption of the pursuit of truth and intellectual honesty/integrity. If I read one more imperative sentence claiming “that the fact of the matter is” or other such nonsense instantly invalidating any other opinion and assigning further discourse to the stupid/garbage bin I’m going to puke.

California, Careless, Heretic, Irresponsible, Prop 8

Groups such as the CAIR, NAACP and Reconquista will find decreased fund raising and dwindling support in California due to the voter demographics they represent voting in favor of the constitutional amendment to ban Gay marriage (Prop 8). Voters in these demographics voted to ban Gay marriage. In the case of CAIR and the NAACP overwhelmingly so. CAIR – Council on American-Islamic Relations, NAACP – National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Reconquista – A Los Angeles group dedicated to recapturing the Southwest United States for Mexico.

The state of Utah will be feeling the pinch as tourism dollars disappear. The Mormon Church supported Prop 8 with large donations to the cause. Utah being the home of the Mormon Church is being targeted for boycotts ranging from the Sundance Film Festival to winter sports.

Whites voted NO on Prop 8 at about the same rate as the Proposition passed (53%No – 47%Yes) by. So much for that christian right = white meme. Data is now difficult to find due to the MSM and Gays concentrating on blaming the Mormon Church. The spinning has begun to misdirect the actual responsibility for the proposition passing, Islamic, Black and Hispanic voters towards the Mormon Church. Wake up Gay people you got eaten by your own. The party that you support took your vote and then stabbed you in the back.

UPDATE: Much of the Gay community is attempting to place all the blame for the success of prop 8 on the Mormon Church and by association the Christian Right and by association white voters. Gays are letting the same people that turned their backs on them use them (AGAIN) to shift blame away from non-white voters towards…drum roll please…those republican right wingers. I must reconsider my support for a group of people that myopic.

More protests taking place. Religion of course is to blame…those bigoted narrow-minded cracker ass caffeine avoiding baby having constitution shredding Mormons are to blame. If only they were tolerant like those against Prop 8.

H/T michellemalkin.com: Aunti Zeituni Onyango — a Boston public housing resident — was an illegal alien deportation fugitive who was ordered to leave the country by an immigration judge four years ago. Despite her illegal absconder status, she not only obtained federal housing benefits, but also illegally contributed to Obama’s campaign. Obama denies knowing about her illegal status and has promised to return her donations.

Just one BIG question on this. The vetting procedure for candidates from many different agencies and all the parties only caught this now? It appears that some are more equal than others, comrade.

A woman, Arien O’Connell, runs fastest time at Nike Women’s Marathon (SFrisco) but does not win! She did not start with the “elite” runners. Get used to it comrade, some runners are just more equal then others. Caveat Stupidus!

BTW she TROUNCED the more equal competition by 10 mintues 49 seconds.

What a bunch of pussies! Get a backbone people. We built this house of cards, lived in this house of unrealistic and selfish expectation. Now we react in the very same unrealistic selfish vein and drive the scale of our problems upward an order of magnitude. A scale that will allow us to continue singing “…about ME” instead of truly fixing the problem.
