People are starting to complain:

Newsweek’s Jonathan Alter, in an article headlined “Thanks Ever So Much, President Poor-Mouth,” said, “Even if Bush turns out to be right in his predictions of gloom, that doesn’t mean he was right to make them.” The New York Times lectured Mr. Bush, saying that presidents were supposed to be “cheerleaders for the nation’s economy.”
But Mr. Bush tried that, too. As the United States recovered from the economic devastation caused by the 9/11 attacks, the president constantly talked up the economy, asserting that the American work force could compete with any in the world, and he assured Americans that happy days were right around the corner. Even as the currrent recession took hold, he continued to portray the nation’s future in optimistic tones.
For all his effort, he was portrayed as a Pollyannish rube whose naivete so clouded his vision that he could not see the stark reality of the economic situation. How else to explain his optimism in the face of $4-a-gallon gas or exploding unemployment, or presidential statements a year ago, such as “I don’t think we’re headed to a recession, but no question we’re in a slowdown.”
The reality is the situation is bad…I know this, but don’t act like liberals did anything more than act like snotty teenage girls who had their phone privileges revoked by “Mr. Bush”.

Groups such as the CAIR, NAACP and Reconquista will find decreased fund raising and dwindling support in California due to the voter demographics they represent voting in favor of the constitutional amendment to ban Gay marriage (Prop 8). Voters in these demographics voted to ban Gay marriage. In the case of CAIR and the NAACP overwhelmingly so. CAIR – Council on American-Islamic Relations, NAACP – National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Reconquista – A Los Angeles group dedicated to recapturing the Southwest United States for Mexico.
The state of Utah will be feeling the pinch as tourism dollars disappear. The Mormon Church supported Prop 8 with large donations to the cause. Utah being the home of the Mormon Church is being targeted for boycotts ranging from the Sundance Film Festival to winter sports.
Whites voted NO on Prop 8 at about the same rate as the Proposition passed (53%No – 47%Yes) by. So much for that christian right = white meme. Data is now difficult to find due to the MSM and Gays concentrating on blaming the Mormon Church. The spinning has begun to misdirect the actual responsibility for the proposition passing, Islamic, Black and Hispanic voters towards the Mormon Church. Wake up Gay people you got eaten by your own. The party that you support took your vote and then stabbed you in the back.
UPDATE: Much of the Gay community is attempting to place all the blame for the success of prop 8 on the Mormon Church and by association the Christian Right and by association white voters. Gays are letting the same people that turned their backs on them use them (AGAIN) to shift blame away from non-white voters towards…drum roll please…those republican right wingers. I must reconsider my support for a group of people that myopic.

It was Obama’s debate to lose, the fix was in and yet he managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The democrat equivalencing and spin began in earnest last night. Funny how affirmative action works. Making something so white and black into a muddy gray.
Hear are the goggles I looked through to determine the winner of my vote. Two job applicants for a 4-8 year position are interviewed simultaneously. One applicant does a better job of demonstrating the knowledge and skill sets to get the job done than the other applicant does. One is detailed and seizes the initiative the other is not as detailed and does not seize the initiative.
Obama did not perform as well as McCain. Caveats, spin, and equivalence that all you want. Obama still did not perform as well as McCain.
