Michelle Malkin vs Meghan McCain

August 11th, 2009

Here’s the intro blurb to Miss McCain’s new article

The Daily Beast’s Meghan McCain on why the far-right pundit, who says McCain needs to shut up, won’t be getting her wish—and why telling moderates to get out of the party is bad for the GOP.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say, “get out of the party”, but Miss McCain, people like you are the reason conservatives are losing elections, people like your father, people like Arlen Spectre, who is now a reliable Democrat. You’ve said, “In my Republican Party there is room for everyone!” How is that logical at all? The Republican party is a group of people who have ideological similarities, and they’re not all cohesive…people disagree, but in my Republican party, the party I am about to leave because of people like you, there’s not room for Liberals. You’re the media darling because for every cry of “compromise”, there’s a reply of “no compromise” from the left. So we change, and they don’t. The reason the right is losing elections is because as long as people like you and your father represent the party, I won’t vote for them any more…and I’m 27. Disagree with Michelle Malkin all you want, and although I’m not in her camp 100% (maybe 98%), I’m certainly not in yours. So I’m going to take my Southern California coast residing, tattooed, guitar playing, video game junkie ass somewhere else if you’re the face of the “new Republican party”, because you’re just that…a face. I’m not an extreme conservative (unless it’s fiscal), and like you, I probably don’t really have any major complaints with the social moderates, though I disagree with them, but I do have complaints with people who convey understanding of policy that reads like Tigerbeat or in 140 characters and less.

You’ve become the “Limousine Conservative”, the parody of the elite left that Republicans like me can’t stomach. You’re one of the ones who talk about the awesome things that they do, say, and participate in, twitter about how cool you are, and how you’re recognized…you’re now the Paris Hilton of the Republican Party, and while you espouse moderation, those of us Conservative Republicans twist inside, knowing that while you are your own individual, and have the right to say whatever you want, your actions have a reflection on the “R”, like Miss. Hiltons do on the “H”….and I’m about to tap out.

You think there’s room for everyone? That’s not realistic, or informed, and it doesn’t help policy.

You are chasing me out of the party, and I know there’s going to be hands in the air like mine agreeing. I give credit to people like Bill Maher because at least he believes in something, even though I disagree with him…you, however, just seem to believe in the idea of believing…how…inclusive.

Poll of WHITE Evangelical Republicans

October 31st, 2007

Pyrrhic defeatists that they are, 55% of WHITE Evangelical Republicans say they will consider voting for a 3rd party candidate if the Reps and Dems choose Rudy and Hillary, respectively, as their presidential candidates. Dam abortion and gay marriage!!!

All because they want to have their religious beliefs as law. Sound Sharia-like enough for you? Many of you know the fact that the West’s system of laws and a largish share of the culture are based on and guided by Judeo-Christian beliefs. Laws and culture BASED on the J/C system of belief, not word for word and not guided on a blind path as some would or would not believe.

This is exactly why from time to time that I am tempted to vote democrat. The Evangelical Right is as moon batty as the farthest left moon bat. Only the far lefties are mostly smart enough to vote democrat (unless totally full goose bozo looney) and not to vote for the socialist candidate or Nader (remember how he was slapped down by the dems last time).

I am big on choice for abortion aka reproducive rights and when we finally get our heads on straight TBKA genetic material rights (oh for the want of an artifical womb, then we’ll really have some fun). I am also big on gay rights. Marriage? Call it what you want it will be the same thing either way. Dumb ass gays want to join the divorce lawyers support group come on down!

It is up to me to influence and defend my family and the people around me so they can make their choices as they believe…NOT religerment.

I SHALL NOT SUBMIT,

GOP Crank On the Take – Allegedly

July 31st, 2007

I’m not going to be too shocked if this turns out to be true, but as I’ve said before…we need to eat our own. The Alaska Senator Ted Stevens may be in the pocket of the oil companies. From Michelle Malkin:

After all this time, Ted Stevens’ infamous Bridge to Nowhere might finally lead somewhere–perhaps a jail cell next to fellow GOP corruptocrat Duke Cunningham.

Damn straight. I like to think the difference, at least at the grassroots internet level, is that we on the right won’t defend or tolerate bad behavior from our representatives. Granted, it’s near impossible for a political machine as large as either of our parties to have 100% of their members with integrity…it just can’t happen. I’d love it if it did…really I would. Then we could argue truly on merit and ideas…but that tends to be avoided.

So we should do to good ‘ol Ted Stevens what the Democrats couldn’t do with Diane Feinstein

Nanny State Takes the Next Step

February 4th, 2007

A great letter from Rhymes With Right about another “brilliant ” Republican circumventing the voters and forcing vaccines on sixth grade girls. While it might be a good idea to vaccinate against cervical cancer…I like the logic behind this response:

Dear Governor Perry;

I’m troubled by your decision to mandate that sixth-grade girls must receive the Gardasil vaccine as a condition of exercising the right to receive a free public education in the state of Texas. I’m troubled by your staff’s insistence that your unilateral action on behalf of your big campaign contributor Merck and its lobbyist, your former chief of staff, may not be revoked by the legislature using its constitutional oversight powers– or, based upon the statement of your spokesperson, any court. But since you seem to be a graduate of the Paul Begala School of Lawmaking, I won’t argue with you over the question of the legitimacy of your position.

However, since you seem intent upon forcing pharmaceuticals upon children in order to prevent a sexually-transmitted condition not readily contracted by activity in the course of a normal school day, I’d like to offer a suggestion for the next executive order you should issue. It, too, involves prevention of a sexually condition which would not often be contracted in the ordinary course of a school day, but which much more often impacts the lives and education of school-aged girls in Texas, as well as the state budget.

That condition is teen pregnancy.

Governor, in the last decade I have had 10-15% of my female students either give birth or become pregnant during the course of the school year, or even enter my tenth-grade classroom already a mother. Their pregnancies wreak havoc on their lives and education, causing them to miss school on a frequent basis due to their pregnancy or the demands of motherhood. I’ve witnessed them drop out of school or seek a GED rather than a diploma so they could go to work rather than college. I’ve seen them enter unwise, early marriages and unstable live-in situations.

Furthermore, I know that most of them have been recipients of Medicaid dollars for delivery, and for the subsequent medical care their child needs. They often find themselves on food stamps and living in subsidized housing. During their pregnancies and the post-partum period, these young women are often segregated into special educational facilities, and many school districts find it necessary to provide some sort of daycare program for the offspring of their students.

Clearly, this condition adversely impacts the lives of Texas students and their children, as well as the budgets of the state of Texas and every school district and local government. It is therefore imperative, sir, that you take action to safeguard all of the above, just as you have with your decision bypass the legislative process to mandate Gardasil via executive order.

I urge you, Governor Perry, to mandate that every entering sixth-grade girl in the state of Texas receive Norplant implants as a precondition to enrolling in a public school in the state. Furthermore, you should by executive order mandate that the replacement of those implants be required as a precondition for being permitted to continue in a public school beyond tenth grade, due to the limited effective life of the Norplant implants. This will protect every school girl in Texas from the perils of teen pregnancy, and much more effectively than the abstinence-only education programs currently offered in our public schools.

Now some may object that government-mandated Norplant violates the right of a woman, even an eleven-year-old, to control her own body. You’ve already crossed that line with your Gardasil executive order. Others may argue that government-mandated Norplant may give these same young woman the message that unprotected sex is now safe. But you’ve already crossed that line as well. And still others might argue that government-mandated Norplant might be viewed as permission to engage in sex. That line has also been crossed by your executive order. And as for those who argue that such decisions are best left to parents in consultation with family physicians — you blew right past that line when you chose to play doctor with every little girl in the state by mandating Gardasil.

So if you are really interested in protecting young girls from sexually-transmitted conditions that negatively impact their lives, you must issue the Norplant executive order.

Unless, of course, your real motivation for the Gardasil executive order was paying back Merck for the campaign contributions and doing favors for former staffers and the family members of your political allies.

Retard Republican of the Day

February 2nd, 2007

Rep. Wayne Smith, a Republican, said it is time for the state to crack down on Texans who are shirking their parental responsibilities by failing to meet with the teacher when their child is having academic or disciplinary problems.

Under the bill, parents who miss a scheduled conference with a teacher could be charged with a Class C misdemeanor and fined up to $500. Parents could avoid prosecution if they have a “reasonable excuse” for failing to show up. State education officials or school districts probably would be left to define what’s reasonable.

RETARDED!

It’s not the Government’s job to tell me how to be a parent! Good GOD. This is non-partisan idiocy. You like to think that Republicans are smarter than that…then you’re reminded that even Republicans can screw the pooch. You can’t smoke. You can’t chose to open an establishment that caters to smokers. Trans fatty acids are illegal. Some want to make spanking illegal in California.

Yes, it’s a good idea to go to Parent Teacher events…but a fine?! ARGHHHH…

I’m done…I’m done here. Where’s the whiskey. Practical…is this a Blue Label night?

Great Governor Fence-Rider

December 18th, 2006

I know it ought not surprise me, but when I hear of a “conservative” batting for the other team (take from that what you will), I am somehow taken off guard, like it has never happened before.  So you can imagine my surprise when I hear about our Great Governor Fence Rider’s (pun intended) next conquest: healthcare.  The article claims that the US spends $100 BILLION a year on uninsured healthcare costs.

Nowhere did I find Schwarzenegger’s plan to tackle this issue.  All I found were the hot terms “reform” and “fix”.  He did however refer to a “hidden tax” that we (meaning those who pay for their healthcare) are paying to make up for the monetary loss that our state incurs as a result of the uninsured.

My humble suggestion?  Find out how much of that $100 billion dollars is thanks to our illegal neighbors and send ‘em a bill.

Muhaha…Culture of Corruption

November 14th, 2006

So it’s rearing it’s ugly head. Abramoff supposedly is going to point the finger at 6 to 8 “seriously corrupt” Democratic Senators. While the blogosphere is murmuring on the right, I’m wondering how the right is going to justify this. One of two ways…we’ll hear the “swiftboating” argument, thus negating any sort of factual basis for said statements…or we’ll hear the slide scale argument that they’re not that corrupt really when you look at how corrupt the Republicans are, blah, blah, blah. Democrats are going to cling to the “relative” perspective like a Republican to their paycheck (those rich old white kooks).

Capt’n Ed has the support for his case that Harry Reid is one of those accused:

The AP, which has done a good job of covering Reid’s Abramoff connections, revealed that Reid intervened on at least five occasions for Abramoff clients. He collected donations from them “around the time of each action.”

I don’t think that there’s any doubt that Reid will be one of the lucky six to eight Democratic Senators smoked out in this prosecution. The question will be who the others are or were. If enough of them sit in the next Senate, the Democrats may find themselves in trouble for holding their majority. If Reid has to leave, the Governor of Nevada would have to appoint his replacement … and Jim Gibbons just won the seat for the Republicans.

While it’s wishful thinking…It’s doubtful…as we’ve seen by Murtha’s recent push to be majority leader, Democrats are held to a different ethical standard than Republicans. I’m calling on “The Right Wing” to come up with a funny comment here…

As big of a deal as the Abramoff was a couple of years ago…it’s all going to be very hush hush now…shhhh….he might point towards our guys…Rangel, Reid, Dorgan…it’s all in your head…Democrats have no “culture of corruption”, that’s strictly a conservative thingy.

reid.jpg

So here’s the zany conspiracy theory I’ll throw out there…listen closely. Abramoff is really a Democrat operative. If he was truly a Republican rube, then he would have offered up the information before the election…ehhhh…so he must be in the pocket of…of….that’s right, the Kennedy’s. Where is the offshore account I say? Remember Chappaquiddick!

Ridiculousness aside, this could be a very big development. Democrats campaigned on the idea of “cleaning house”, and it may very well be the thing that sinks them…this isn’t a Kerry flip flop that just kills your Presidential ambitions…this is a “turn in your badge and gun” incident. To clarify, and Republicans who have had illegal dealings with Abramoff should also be booted (this means Rove if that happens to be the case), I will stick to consistency…clean them all out. I’m going to be the true non-partisan here…w00t…dredge the swamp.

Eff-in A…

November 13th, 2006

Damn it…

Now I am angry at the Republicans

Ironic, considering the previous post just addressed Republican frustration with Illegal immigration, Mel Martinez become the nomination for RNC chair. Way to throw Conservative Legitimacy in the shitter. As Mary Katherin Ham points out:

A Steele chairmanship and a Pence/Shadegg House leadership takeover would really have helped me warm back up the Republican Party in this cold, cold time, but the first is a bust and the second ain’t looking great. Guess I’ll remain chilly, as will much of the base. Feel the love.

How does Martinez score on the all-important immigration issue, which undoubtedly kept many Republicans ticked off enough to stay on their duffs this year? Oh.

Screwed

What…no lube?

The Republican Party just turns tail and runs any time the issues get too “hot” for them to handle. First Social Security abandoned (this 25 year old is banking on no government retirement, probably full SS collapse…go 401k!!), then judges (go Harriet Meirs!!), and now immigration (va la inmigración)..when the going gets tough…Republicans fold?! So…what now? Are they going to nominate Mel Gibson as the ambassador to Israel?

So…the base wanted Steele…but this ignoring of the people who actually vote these (*expletive deleted*) into office is starting to become the piece de resistance of the right. Has 12 years of power made them think they need to do nothing to keep it…are conservative ideals that hard to grasp when you CAMPAIGN ON CONSERVATIVE VALUES!!

So…how about them Dodgers…I hear they play baseball.

Another Kick in the Balls

November 9th, 2006

John Bolton nomination sounds good to me.

I’m not one who followed his career, being a noob and all, but it looks like he’s about to be pwned (this is a real word) by Good Ol’ Lincoln Chafee (no really, read his stances). In one last F-U to the party that he routinely Fs like drunken sorority sister. I guess my revenge is his political career (hahaha). I hope this post shows up when inevitable Mr. Chafee googles his name to see what his current Top 5 status is. I’m thinking a google bomb connected with some sort of urinal cake provider might be in order.

CBS calls Chafee Moderate. Ha I say…HA!

But Chafee is still just one man…the emboldened Democrats are going to do their best to stop Bolton from being appointed to his UN position. Let’s ignore that fact that he was integral in putting together the North Korea resolution. His problem is he doesn’t see past the UN corruption (laundering, embezzlement, rape) to see the inherent good. I contest that without addressing these issues head on, how can this organization be legitimate. UN peacekeepers are infamous for doing the opposite, and Annan, when he was in power, presided over the largest monetary scandal in the history of the world…and yet the UN is touted as above reproach. If any other Government were to be a part of such a scandal, they would be thrown out…but such things are not said in the halls of the UN, and in the major media. Bolton takes such issues head on.

I submit for your consideration that it’s because the UN could be something worthwhile, someday, that we need to take these issues head on, as aggressively as possible…because right now the UN is just a US tax-payer subsidized joke.
