Racist!

Racist!

Racist because she wore a t-shirt supporting McCain-Palin?!

UPDATE: Joe The Plumber gets his for daring to question the 0… “we have people crawling over his tax records, his voter registration, his professional licensing, and whatever else they can find in the public record.” Oh yes be very very very afraid…

Whoa…I had better vote for and support 0 or it is going to get very uncomfortable for me.

NOT!!!

Guess it is time to stock up on the 3b’s, buy that sweet S&W 357 magnum I’ve been looking at and check out land in Montana.

Lan astalem,

GoingThere

ps…
S&W Model 327 M&P R8 – 8 Shot .357 Magnum Revolver because,

1) Revolvers pretty much work ALL THE TIME, EVERY TIME
2) Excellent ballistics, one shot killing power (what are weapons for again Gracey?)
3) Large frame (I have big hands sweetheart)
4) It shoots .38 special rounds as well .357 Magnum (dual and cheaper practice ammo)
5) It looks cool (okay so I am a technerd)

On the killing power thing, IF you must use a weapon you want it to do it’s part of the job well.

That is certainly an impressive firearm GT, I wouldn’t mind having one myself. 8 shots of .357 is about as much firepower you can hold in one hand.

Most people are more comfortable with handguns, but don’t forget that long guns beat hand guns in most situations. A $100 rifle will get you 5 times the energy, and 10 times the range. A $250 shotgun will give you a KA-CHUNK, 3 times the energy, and double the range. Plus long guns are easier for untrained shooters to use. Handguns can be difficult to shoot accurately under stress or at 20 feet without practice.

May I recommend a lever action .357? That way you can use the same ammunition in both. A tad more expensive than the $350 shotgun/rifle combo (~$550), but ammo interchangeability has a certain je ne sais quoi…

    Remember practice makes perfect :)

chuckles… Just an excuse, sort of, unfortunately, to buy a new “toy”. My old standby does need updating, big bark smallish bite. I’ve got the long gun and antipersonnel stuff covered similar to your suggestions. Reaching out and touching someone at remarkable distances or up close and messy are not problems. Though I would like to get a long gun that is chambered for us/nato 5.56 caliber though (pickup ammo availability).

I am still torn on the choice of caliber for a new handgun. Availability in a storm ya know…any suggestions? 9mm is the us/nato caliber hmmm

Practice, practice, practice is correct (thus the .357 which shoots .38 special-cheaper). IF, and that is a BIG BIG BIG IF, one is faced with using a weapon for defense you better know how to use it and get the job done.

On the IF thing, I have always looked at it as, if you have it in your hand(s) the threat is real and therefor must be met with extreme prejudice or don’t pick it up in the first place. I’ll help’em load their truck with my goodies but a physical threat will quickly lead them to room temperaturedness…

Remember to drag them back into the house if necessary, chant “I was afraid for my life” and nothing else till your lawyer gets there. C-;<

I offered my thoughts unsure of your level of preparedness. Obviously you’re no beginner :)

Everyone has to have a wonder 9 just because they’re so ubiquitous. Past experiences with the storm in other countries has indicated that ammo availability will come from calibers stolen from military and police (usually stolen by a civilian contractor or janitor :), so 9mm or .40 for police (possibly 5.56 and 12ga), and 5.56 and 9mm for military (possibly 7.62NATO and 12ga). Get a 9mm, then get the biggest caliber you can shoot well.

As for 5.56 nato, I wouldn’t recommend a mini-14, and would hesitantly recommend a keltec su-16ca. But if you want to get interesting, I’d recommend getting a california-legal AR-15. They are legal but possibly troublesome if a cop is not up on the law.

There are two possible configurations, and a variety of configurations for each that can meet the personal “risk” level of every owner.

I do NOT recommend bringing back normal capacity magazines from out of state, because it is illegal. There are other options we can discuss next time we meet.

I don’t think she was supporting McCain/Palin at all. She’s calling Sarah a dog and telling her to go away.
