Holy Hurt Feelings Batman!
It’s not often that it happens, but it happens. I have a little bit of a…”I feel sorry for Bill” in my heart. Not in the “he’s a good guy and got hit by a car” kind of way…but more along the lines of, “awwwww…Britney got her kids taken away from her.”
I mean, you were the guy that wrested the Executive branch back from those damn Reaganites. You were the guy that balanced the budget (signed the bill put together by Republicans after vetoing it, but who remembers the details). You were the real first black President…and now…gyack…you’re the guy forced to speak all hopeful changeytude about the guy who talked (literally, just talked) his way into the nomination.
Hence, the old news I now post…eff it man, I’m rusty;
He [Clinton] said: “Suppose for example you’re a voter. And you’ve got candidate X and candidate Y. Candidate X agrees with you on everything, but you don’t think that person can deliver on anything. Candidate Y disagrees with you on half the issues, but you believe that on the other half, the candidate will be able to deliver. For whom would you vote?”
Then, perhaps mindful of how his off-the-cuff remarks might be taken, Clinton added after a pause: “This has nothing to do with what’s going on now.”
Not only that, but the religious fervor with which Obama supporters find themselves quite literally enthralled in (somewhere there’s a ray of light and choir…well, we’ve all seen the you tube on the internets haven’t we now), has led them to treat you, well, quite shitty to use the scientific term. Then…we have this on Huffington’s front page, “Hillary Delivers, and Then Some!”. I swear to Obama, if I have to hear one more “greatest speech ever” line from the Democrats, I’m going to…well, complain some more. Seriously though, it’s like ribbons at a 5 year old’s soccer game. Is this what has happened with our penchant for feeling good about oneself? There’s got to be a Greatest Speech award, signed by Chris Matthews; every single Democrat has one framed on their study wall, complete with Olbermann quote.
Really people, these are the people who are going to protect us? These masters of foreign policy…some of which still haven’t seemed to figure out that you probably won’t be able to denounce Russia through the UN Security Council, when Russia is a member of, and has veto power in, the UN Security Council…
That Gentlemen…is just stupid…but he sure gives a hell of a speech.
Oh yeah…Poor Bill.
