HellgateGamestop makes my day!

If you pre-order Hellgate: London through their website, you get an exclusive invite to the Beta run…which only means a month extra play ahead of time before they reset you account and make you start all over in the “real” one…but what the hell…why not!

This has been a long counting down on my part. Look, I’ve reserved Halo 3, I’m stoked about Rock Band…but this game is right up my alley. I’ve talked about it before, but I’m putting a lot of stock into the idea that this game can revitalize the MMO genre…

While not necessarily the best in politics (Betray Us…pshhhh), at least the NY Times recognizes this enough to put it into their arts section:

Many, many contenders have tried to exceed, or even just match, Diablo’s addictive combination of randomized levels, easy yet deep combat and, of course, “slot machine”-style loot, where every monster just might drop that superpowerful item you’ve been hoping for. All have failed to approach the polish of the Diablo series. Hellgate, on the other hand, just might, and not least because many of the game’s senior designers defected from Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo team to strike out on their own.

As always, get the skinny from HellgateGuru.

Trying to figure out a new trackback community system, so forgive the randomness of experimenting right now at the bottom of these posts.

Trackposted to Rosemary’s Thoughts, Right Celebrity, Woman Honor Thyself, The Crazy Rants of Samantha Burns, Shadowscope, The Pink Flamingo, The Amboy Times, and The Yankee Sailor, thanks to Linkfest Haven Deluxe.

You have a very nice site. I’ve heard many not so nice things about the troubles people are having with GoDaddy. One person cannot put up her YouTubes, another says that its downtime is a little too often. That would scare me, since I work on the computer all day! lol. I really do like this site, though. You did say you worked it? Great job! Then again, you must be a conservative…;)

Well the screens certainly look pretty, and I DID enjoy the Diablo series. Now … can it break a World of Warcraft addiction? And not one of those middling, I PvP on weekends things, but a full-blown 3-4 nights a week 25 man raid addiction. I got it bad, you see.

I had it bad for 2 years, and then quit right after the expansion. Didn’t change anything or make any real changes as far as I was concerned. My addiction is broken, but I see this one as being a possible new one.

Something to say?
