The beauty of capitalism is, money is always green. Businesses are in business to make a profit. The most qualified applicant will make the employer the most money. If that applicant happens to be a retarded gay black hermaphrodite, then he/she will still get the job. If you make it so everyone must get the same pay or add incentives or "equalizers" then there is less incentives for the employer to be driven by money, and more personal preference and bias gets into the equation.
