You can't blame Bush for a man who is (my understanding) the most senior member of the Senate...if he's been doing this a while, it's on him...and accordingly, if found guilty, he needs to go. While it might make Republicans sad to see corruption in the party rank-and-file, it's better to get rid of him, than to hold on to them...like a William Jefferson with the Democrats.
