GOP Crank On the Take – Allegedly

July 31st, 2007

I’m not going to be too shocked if this turns out to be true, but as I’ve said before…we need to eat our own. The Alaska Senator Ted Stevens may be in the pocket of the oil companies. From Michelle Malkin:

After all this time, Ted Stevens’ infamous Bridge to Nowhere might finally lead somewhere–perhaps a jail cell next to fellow GOP corruptocrat Duke Cunningham.

Damn straight. I like to think the difference, at least at the grassroots internet level, is that we on the right won’t defend or tolerate bad behavior from our representatives. Granted, it’s near impossible for a political machine as large as either of our parties to have 100% of their members with integrity…it just can’t happen. I’d love it if it did…really I would. Then we could argue truly on merit and ideas…but that tends to be avoided.

So we should do to good ‘ol Ted Stevens what the Democrats couldn’t do with Diane Feinstein

    Thanks for the Feinstein article!

Stevens is a small fish in a big pond to me, why are they bothering with him? Didnt they learn their lesson from Libby??? I wish we would stop wasting time and kick ALL their asses out!

“we need to eat our own.”

Man Stout, you still dont get it do you? “Eating” Ted Stevens will only further throw the Republican voters into denial and more fear… Open your eyes, see the bright lights honey – YOU ARE ON THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION BUFFET AND THEY ARE ABOUT TO STICK A FORK IN YOUR PARTY MY FREIND! And I am not being a smart ass in saying that.

EAT EM BACK BY MAKING THEM EAT THIER OWN WORDS!

Gotta clean house of the bad seeds. You can’t blame Bush for a man who is (my understanding) the most senior member of the Senate…if he’s been doing this a while, it’s on him…and accordingly, if found guilty, he needs to go.

While it might make Republicans sad to see corruption in the party rank-and-file, it’s better to get rid of him, than to hold on to them…like a William Jefferson with the Democrats.

Erin you just don’t get it do you?! YOU’RE DOING EXACTLY WHAT THE DEMOCRATS WANT YOU TO DO! DEMOCRATIC LEADERS WANT YOUR ATTENTION ON THE OPPOSITION PARTY INSTEAD OF WORKING ON THE PROBLEMS IN YOUR OWN PARTY! Open you eyes! Wake up and smell the coffee!

Also, caps lock is an acceptable substitute for making valid arguments using facts and sources.

Actually, if you were paying attention instead of spazzing exstinguishing, you would see that I asked Stout some time back for some good articles from the west coast about Feinstein and the whole defense contractor deal because he lives out there and I don’t. When I was thanking him for the article, I was thanking him for the Feinstein article…
