As much as I disagree with the Clintons, their Kid seems to have her head on straight. For all their faults, they seem to have done one thing well.

HW cut budget. Clinton cut budget. I hate the shell game of “but such and such did it more”. I won’t play the game of saying person A is good because person B is worse.

I’m assuming HW trimmed the budget because the cold war was over.

JC, need your help. I have been trying to dig into the defense cuts Clinton made. Guess what I found? I went into that vote-smart.org and all the defense cut proposals were made BEFORE Clinton. The problem is, the site only gives us access from Clinton on. It will tell you what the bills were titled, but it when you try to click it says, Page no longer available. We need to find out who proposed these defense budget cuts while HW was still in. According to my research – there werent any made during Clinton, they were actually added. Before and at the begginning of the war, Bush spent around 3.5% on defense, and during Clinton, he spent over 5. Hey, I cannot stand Clinton, but I am truly trying to put this all together and he is coming out smelling like roses. I KNOW this is not what I want to accomplish – so i can guarantee you don’t. my 3 months in the Persian Gulf region for a threat made by Saddam in 1 99. See, i heard the same thing. I heard he was threatening to drill more oil than OPEC woudl allow him to and flood the market. Go to vote-smart.com (or maybe org.) Go to HR4811. Now look what Sonny Callahan does for a living. How can I trust an administration that told us we went ot war with Iraq because of 9/11 when the facts say otherwise? You see why I am just a tad freaked out?

John Johns was on CSPAN (at one in the morning) and he said that the military has to do what the commander in chief says, its right. But it’s up to the retired and former military to stand up for them NOW. He said the only reason it’s really like Vietnam is because of the Pentagon Papers, where it revealed another 125,000 troops were sent when they knew the war was lost – “70% of the reason to ’save face.” We cannot ket another American die because the administration mismanaged the war, now its too late – and they want to “save face.”

I truly am sorry that I upset you JC. I really am, it was wrong. I am not a journalist, I dont get a penny for what I do. I do it because I think being in the military is an honorable position – a very honorable one- and if I am wrong for standing up for them and being upset that the president treats them like the people who cut his grass and cook his food, then I guess I am wrong. These investigations have been conducted by the Democratic Policy Committee – there is a website, with Halliburton knowingly giving Marines water with e-coli, and having a huge superbowl party and expensing it to military personnel. If it had been for real military personnel, i would have gladly been fine with it, but it wasnt for them. Sayign they were feeding thousands more than they did.
