Poo Flinging – It’s Comeback

December 13th, 2006

Guantanamo of course is where American soldiers routinely brutalize Al Qaeda…right?

Guards have been routinely pelted with feces by inmates and face physical attacks from al Qaeda detainees. In May, al Qaeda detainees organized an ambush to stop a search of cells for contraband medication following two suicide attempts. Prison authorities have responded by providing inmates with a huge Arabic library, a modern hospital, sporting facilities and satellite television. Officials said Harry Potter in Arabic was one of the most popular books in Camp Delta.

What else is there to say?

Officials said al Qaeda inmates have attacked American guards on a daily basis. During the 12-month period that ended in August 2006, authorities reported 3,232 incidents of detainee misconduct. They included 432 assaults with bodily fluids, 227 physical assaults and 99 efforts to incite a disturbance or riot.

“This is serious stuff,” Adm. Harris said. “And yet the guard force and the intelligence people maintain a remarkable degree of restraint and equilibrium. The young Americans that work here are doing a spectacular job in a dangerous place.”

Officials said most guards are not allowed to handle Korans or other religious and cultural items for the inmates. The Korans, prayer beads and Islamic rugs are stored in a 300-foot long building similar to a small aircraft hangar.

Al Qaeda inmates have been taught to lie about Camp Delta and claim torture. Officials cited a terrorist training manual known as the Manchester Document and seized by British authorities in 2000. The manual directs al Qaeda operatives to make false claims of torture and mistreatment. More than 340 people have been released from Camp Delta.

Much of the basis for claims of prisoner abuse comes from the prisoners. Now I wonder why the ACLU doesn’t come to the aid of the soldiers…a “cocktail” thrown in your face has to violate some sort of civil liberty…

Yet somehow, even though reports come like this, pundits and American nay-sayers are still more likely to believe a known terrorist, with a document telling them how to lie to the press about abuse, than they are the military. If that doesn’t speak volumes, I really don’t know what does? The media froths at the mouth when one of these “gentlemen” is released and recounts horrible abuse…to his Koran! How dare we be culturally insensitive, especially when poop is fair play.

My prediction might be in line with Mark Steyn’s. We’re killing ourselves.

I’ve never respected the prisoners of Guantanamo more than I do now…

But hey, just because the BuyBull can be easily perceived as poo due to the wordplay I just used (inspired by Mark Steyn’s, by the way), doesn’t mean that it and the Koran are comparable to the ever-awesome act of heaving said poo.

Plus, I don’t know about you, but I don’t worship the poo, I don’t pray to the poo, I don’t believe poo resurrected and I don’t celebrate poo’s birthday because birthdays are only to be celebrated when one is mortal. You’re celebrating the fact that they made it another year! But when you’re celebrating poo’s birthday even after the poo is white and dry, you defeat the purpose of the poo and it’s existence.

Uh…where was I going with this?

Oh yeah: Now, throw the Koran or the BuyBull at someone…THEN we’re going places!

    Thoughts on poo-flinging:
–Maybe if the toilets at Gitmo were not clogged from all of the Koran-flushing, the “guests” would put their poo in there.
–Or maybe we should show them how indoor plumbing works.
–Based on the picture above, are you supposed to rub a puppy’s nose in its messes? Do they really learn that way?
