Kerry’s True Colors

October 30th, 2006

Thanks to John Ziegler from local KFI 640 AM for providing the audio.

So it’s finally happened…”Proud to Serve” John Kerry let us know what he truly thinks about American soldiers over in Iraq as he was over here in Sunny California throwing his support behind floundering Phil Angelides. We’re supporting Arnold over here…

POSSIBLY THE MOSTEST STUPIDEST
COMMENT…EVER

Click here to listen, or “Save As” for the bloggers.

This is the man that we were (and may be asked to decide again) to trust with the well-being of our soldiers. This is the man who was going to show us how a military should be run, entirely based on his service for this country in Viet-nam (to get the proper emphasis on the proper syllable). This is his impression of the men that currently serve the military…not a judgment of those in power, or a criticism of the current executive or legislative branch. This is a man, at his most honest. There’s only so long a man can hide his nature before he slips publicly, and disagree with George Bush as much as you want, but when it comes to supporting the men of our military…bicker as Republicans do on policy, you’d be hard pressed to find such a statement come from our side of the aisle. Click on the above to listen to the audio.

UPDATE: Allah scoops me again…I beat him to the post (because my writing is far more hackey and rushed than his), but he already knew about the story, I emailed him to check (damn it)…next time my Teacher…next time.

What a dick!!! That is idiotic! I am insulted for all the military men and women! I mean…damn…My husband works hard, gets promoted, goes to dangerous places so that this idiot can talk out of his ass. Well, should I be surprised that a democrat says something completly insensitive?

No Abby, you shouldn’t be surprised when a democrat says something completely insensitive. Just like you shouldn’t be surprised when a Republican does either (e.g. Limbaugh, Allen, George “Bring it on” Bush). Both sides are as guilty as the other.

Instead, just use the event to paint their party with that brush and hope nobody points out that the brush was made out of Grade “A” U.S. of A Hypocrisy.

Yes, Kerry should be the douche of the year for this. But there’s a lot of douche to go around.

Of course of this was a republican or conservative on the matter that made the remark, it would be all over national news demanding an apology to the American public. I think Air America should do a segment on this?

Remember when Olbermann said Scooter Libby was disgusting and had no place in politics for writing a book with sex scenes about a year and a half ago…yeah, that was funny.

This kind of thinking isn’t atypical for Kerry. Remember now, he did write that book called “The New Soldier” and then actively forbade its republication. He did go before the Winter Soldier meetings and smear the troops with wholly ficticious atrocities. He did throw someone else’s medals over a wall, pretending that they were his. He did meet with the VC at Paris while America was still at war with North Vietnam. I could go on, but you get the point.

Now as for the left, this kind of thinking isn’t atypical either. Code Pink protests outside American military hospitals with such slogans as “Died for a Lie”. Markos from Daily Kos said “Screw them” (about the troops and then tried to cover up that fact — see LGF). Leftists created the whole “babykiller” motif during ‘Nam and actively persecuted vets when they came home. Don’t forget the various hateful banners at your ordinary anti-war protests such as “I Don’t Support the Troops”, and the ones which supported fragging officers. The hatred of America’s military bubbles just under the surface of “respectable” leftism. It’s no stretch.

    Thanks for the blogroll, BTW!

Kerry in top form and no, Practical Radical, his top form is not surprising. With exception (always the case with large generalities) I wouldn’t be surprised to hear half the left side of the aisle slip and let true colors (yellow) show. And yes, Practical Radical, I would be surprised to hear an Elected Republican say something so insensitive. Bringing up Limbaugh as an example doesn’t help your point at all, by the way, since at I don’t feel the need to hold up conservative commentators, who’s job is to be strongly opinionated, to the same standard of accountability with which I would hold an elected official. Not painting the whole party with that brush either, just all the one’s that supported this monumental douche.

I don’t know what’s worse; that he said it, that he didn’t immediately apologize, or that he tried to blame the vast right wing conspiracy… Perhaps we should list the Democrats supporting his statement or his claim that the dastardly Bushnazis are putting words in his mouth:

    …?

    oh… I see…

See ya Johnny boy, you elitist schmuck. If I said it had been fun I’d be lying.

  9. October 31st, 2006 at 19:36 | #9

OH yeah, Kerry announced today that he was NOT going to apologize about his comment he had made the day before surrounding what he truly thinks of our military, and in fact decided to turn it around claiming that the evil “right” wingers are the cause of this “distorting” remark. And if you think that’s not enough you should check out this

What a nice way to welcome a trooper home from a hard day of work eh?
