Today Reuter’s reported two interesting tidbits for this Southern California gal. One: the population is growing and will hit 300 million in the total US this month. Two: Vicente Fox doesn’t like the idea of a fence on our border and says it will actually make our country LESS safe. How do these two ideas fit together? (Only a dolt wouldn’t be able to connect the dots…so for you dolts…here you are:) The article about our growing population actually states that the Southwestern states are growing the most rapidly in population. NO! Say it ain’t so! Those southwestern states also have increasing crime, more hospitals closing due to lack of funding, a greater stress on the public school system, and the list goes on and on. What might that possibly be attributed to? Indeed, it is our open border policy that up until now nearly every able bodied politician has ignored.
Now we have the possiblity of a fence on our border (which isn’t the greatest way to fix this problem, but it sure is a start). With the upcoming election, politicians notice that this is a hot topic that ought to be addressed in a non-commital, fence-riding sort of way. But no! Vicente just doesn’t like that idea, so we ought to make sure we appease our neighbors and instead of a fence put up a giant “Welcome” mat.
So, to all our brothers and sisters south of the border, “Bienvenidos a Mexifornia!”

I think it was tongue in cheek Mr. There. I do however think her malice towards Canadians is real…her and her anti-maple leaf t-shirts, and her “Canadians are ehhh-holes” jokes…I’ve heard it all.
This is hardly an issue of skin color. It is an economic, national security, ethical issue.
And for the record, Canada is one of my favorite places. Canucks are alright with me, eh.
