To Argue Like a Liberal

September 28th, 2006

Your point is invalid you self centered hypocritical opportunist. Obviously you don’t know your facts, because if you did, you’d agree with me and me only. Do your parents look at you with shame when they see they’ve birthed a conservative shill? Maybe if you cared about the status of mankind you wouldn’t believe in (*insert conservative value here*). If you took time to get out of the lockstep marching line you brown shirt fascist, you might be able to understand that the Neo-con Christian agenda is really at work here, and you’re a victim of the Rumsfeld blindfold. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and the other conspirators…

“Hitler, Satan, anti-union, anti-worker, pro big business, anti-environment, racist, anti-free speech, degrading the political dialogue, anti-evolution and Christian to name a few of the defining points used by liberals when speaking of conservatives.

Why? The political dialogue has been expanded to include both sides of the story. In this “new” era the not so silent anymore conservatives do not know what they are talking about and have damaged the political dialogue beyond repair with their necon agenda. My currently favored response to a liberal (and sometimes neocons) trying the same old song and dance of the last 40+ years is, my facts and truths do not agree with your facts and truth. The liberal receiver of said argument, eyes glazing over, mouth working like a fish gasping for air out of water, retorts with the equivalent of “oh yeah” (with some personal attack adjectives tacked on). The conservative responds in kind from time to time but more often then not they listen and might even be swayed. The recent difference in dialogue, conservatives now bite back and bite back with the vengeance of another set of facts and truths.

Taking a step back and trying to be an independent allows one to see that neither sides facts and truths are exactly the facts or truths that exist. But in determining which side’s facts and truths actually make the most common sense is most often when I get taken to be a conservative. That and tactics, it is time for liberals to put their big people’s panties on, cut the mis-direction, mis-information and class warfare games and formulate an honest to goodness platform. They can’t play at the game of truth with the crap they are trying to pass off as such. Heck there are enough true Moonbats out there that I often find myself dismissing them from consideration as a national political party much as I do Libertarians. The democrats are knowingly providing a less than adequate platform to compete with the republicans. I propose that we deserve better from them, a true choice based upon a rational common reality. With the voice of conservatism now at a volume and content that rivals the democratic option the one hard and fast law of political science, “people get the government they deserve”, carries more weight than ever. Come on democrats hold up your end of the bargain.”

“The problem with the “Independent Avenue” stems from the fact there’s very little (especially in California) that you can do to promote change. No open primaries here buddy…

I agree with the statement that there’s a lot of mis-direction and mis-information surrounding the liberals, but as a general rule (generalization alarm!), liberals don’t argue with anything except ad-hominem attacks, slanders, and criticism of other people’s arguments (as much as “you’re wrong” can be considered legitimate criticism). There’s no fact, no alternatives, and no logical process. There are very few liberals (my age) that you can’t fit their politics onto a bumper sticker. Hence the opening, an example of How to Argue Like a Liberal…If You Must.”

- The Stout Republican

Independents can draw hard cases to the middle, we are a largish block of voters and growing. The majority of voting law changes have centered around either robbing the independent of the power of voting in a primary OR the reverse giving weight to the independent voter (run offs now take place in many states if a clear majority vote does not take place in a primary, hehehehehe).

Mis-direction = ad-hominem attacks, slanders, and criticism of other people’s arguments I think as the article evolves a definition of my generalized phrases to your harder definitions (less AMBIGUITY on my part…GRIN) ought to take place. The problem is that it becomes a manifesto and readers for content will be preaching to the choir. Of course it is a work on how to argue like a liberal, I’m stopping by BN tonight and gettng a copy of Babe Ann’s book on talking to a liberal, if you must for more insight/incite.

Let’s see if I understand the uproar in D.C. now? Foley drove some under age pages to a brige, drove his car off the bridge and let them die in a watery grave. The demomcrazy group is defending him on the grounds that what he does with his personal life is affair. It worked for that lier Clinton why shouldn’t it work for Foley. After all Dems are always for gay rights and giving gays a pass. This makes sense so far doesn’t it? Why should dems betray their gay base for a few votes. Dems always stand by their belief in freedom to be who you really are. Why should Dems allow the right to try and put false values on a gay person? Barney Franks got a pass why shouldn’t Foley? If Foley resigns why shouldn’t Franks or Teddy Bear Kennedy resign too? The Dems are all in line with their belief system and every thing appears to be the way its supposed to be right? So what’s all the shouting about? I don’t get it.

Just in case you haven’t read my post before, let me explain about my self and Ginger. I am a gray, black and white stripped Tabby Cat. I’m on my fourth life, which makes pretty old by human years. I date back to before the Civil War where I use to be a fat Tabby who layed around the Plantation until the Cannon Balls started flying and then I decided to head north, I followed the underground railroad because their was some food available. I’ve seen governments and presidents come and go and I heard all the bull that can be thought of and most of it is recycled anyway. Its been done and better too. Ginger is my very own personal Private Investigator and she is very good. She takes all the risk that I refuse to take, and she get dirty because I like to stay clean. We are always arguing about every single thing but we are both conservatives. She has a very good brain in right many times but don’t tell her I said so. She reminds me of Star Parker. Ginger is brave and knows her stuff. The other day we were talking about Iraq and she came up with this explaination that just blew my little cat brain for a while. She said that World Terrorism must be out lasted and out
smarted. She said that this takes time and that sometimes it looks stupid too. I asked her what she was getting at and she said, its like X’s and 0’s the game. So we played and she never try to win she just played to block me until I got frustrated and gave up. Then she said see I win. All I have to do is not let you win and block your best moves and I win because you can’t. So I said, you mean that Bush is taking the long view on the Middle East, placing our X where we block the Radical Killers from taking over country after country. We can’t win but we have out political foot in the door and in their back yard so they do not want to leave us alone to have our way and spread insane ideas of democracy all around their lands. She said it like the Alamo, you can’t go around it and leave an armed camp behind you. You have to deal with because they are there. We can out spend them and out wait them until they become meaningless, like the Taggies in India, you know the Temple of Doom guys, they were a cult of death too. She made another great point that I’m still thinking about. She said what if Arab League Of Nations gave the Plalestine People a Nation size track of Land in the desert with a port and then spent all the money they spent on fighting the Jews, but use it to build up this new Arab State, like Dubye, it would be a model, they could turn the desert into a garden. We wondered why the Arabs pick war and death to spend their money on rather than life and positive creation. If they did this instead of trying to destroy the Jews, would the Jews try to take away what they created. It makes you wonder, I tell you that Ginger is one smart little dog. But don’t tell her I told you, ok?
