Another Basic Opinion
Arguing with facts vs. Arguing against facts.
It’s currently all there with the leaking of the NIE memo. It’s four pages, so it’s not that hard for all the pundits on the left to read it front to back, yet still they can’t grasp the straightforward language…and Bush is the idiot.
Since this is just a generic piece…with a theme idea, we’ll tackle the current issue on the board.
Right now there’s a 9-11 “Moonbat” panel that’s convened to talk about the conspiracy behind 9-11, while you can get the facts by clicking through to Hot Air, it’s just more of the same…arguing against the facts…sans facts of your own.
I wonder if the “sh*t on the wall” (censored for my recent over use of the word) theory ever gets tiring (view the Screwloose facts here), but the point of this post isn’t to contend the facts, because in this arena, the facts are useless.
There’s a mentality that comes with some of those who benefit from all the United States has to offer, that pervades their point of view on the basic life fundamentals. We are too fortunate, and other places aren’t…it must not be merit. It’s hard to believe that a society can be run by and for the people as a whole, because people (dare I say White Devil) are innately evil. Instead others chose to believe that the world is run by quiet organizations that spin the Wheel of Time in the shadows, influencing events, commerce, and social policy with the precision of a surgeon (Gregory House without the Vicodin). In this world, things don’t just happen. In this world, there are only questions, no answers.
I really think there’s a mind frame split here between the two types of people out there. The problem solvers, and the problem identifiers. Some people can skate between the two depending on the issue, solving some problems, and identifying others as they arise…but it’s just amazing to me how these fall so specifically on party lines as far as the general public is concerned. If you’re a conservative, try arguing with a liberal that is against the war, and see if you can corner them into offering a real alternative. If you think 9-11 was actually caused by terrorists who hate the US, argue with someone who believe it’s a conspiracy. There are no facts offered, except rebuttals to your “facts” (they sometimes use quotes…makes your “facts” less credible). Even rebuttals to 9-11 facts are all over the board, and lack a cohesive storyboard format in general.
- Terrorists weren’t skilled enough to fly, Terrorists were in cahoots with Bush, Bush knew it was coming and let it happen.
Let’s simmer it down to its basics…again. Explosives were planted by government employees in such strategic locations they were able to have a controlled demolition of two towers without anyone who works in the building noticing this was going on (no one saw people planting mass amounts of explosive material on sequential floors…the shadow society is that good). This was all done at the exact same time with the foreknowledge that terrorists we going to hijack planes that were going to be flown into the twin towers…towers that they knew wouldn’t collapse, because they were so well built, without additional explosives. It’s at this point the theories gets messy. One theory states there was no one on the plane, because bodies weren’t found, and no one made cell phone calls because they were all fake calls the families received (Lord knows what government death camps the passengers were sent to). The other theory states that the terrorists were unaware that the government had helped set this up for them, and the administration (or the Illuminati, or the Carlyse group, or the Jews) had manipulated the terrorists into doing their bidding so that they could declare war on Iraq to control the oil markets.
Tangent: Oil markets in Iraq still aren’t anywhere near their production level that existed prewar…the conspiracy as well thought as it may be, still hasn’t worked for the rich white men.
This, of course, all lacks the cohesive single thread of sequential events that those who read and believed the 9-11 commission report, and their eyes. Ebert would give their movie a thumbs down, while Star Wars nerds scream “Continuity Error!” But, panels will continue to convene, and people will continue to spin theories, because heck, as much as we might like to send those crazies to the Gulags, this isn’t Soviet Russia, and freedom of speech allows these people the freedom to be stupid…and when they’re stupid, they’re usually loud, and teaching at college.
As always, slightly bitter in taste, but more palpable the drunker you get.
The Stout Republican

It is very interesting that much of the liberal agenda/platform is based not on the rational common reality but rather an irrational uncommon reality. It is not too much of a stretch to identify liberalism as it is currently practiced as a cult. Though the definition of cult typically includes some reference to number of inDUHviduals involved at less than 50,000.
Good old Merriam Webster defines “cult” as: A great devotion to a person, idea, object, movement, or work (as a film or book); especially : such devotion regarded as a literary or intellectual fad b : the object of such devotion c : a usually small group of people characterized by such devotion…
Hmmm? maybe that sexy right-wing bitch, Ann Coulter, hit the correct chord in, “Godless, The Church of Liberalism”.
Before anyone reads this as damning liberals only, you neocons can get a bit irrational at times yourselves. Though typically, it is because of the liberal irrational uncommon reality being slammed down your throat.
Personally I think it is a hoot, the liberals are no longer getting away with foisting there LIUR (almost got an acronym there) gospel upon the masses unchallenged.
