Too Much Beauty
Maybe I’m just in a sappy mood, or maybe it’s because I took my vitamins, but I’m in a good mood today, despite reading the news, and listening to the liberals (the sky is falling, the sky is falling).
Any reader of this site knows that I’m a fan of art, and a lover of music. But…it has to look good, and sound good. Quick tangent: I don’t care what the message of the music is, but there’s no way I’ll listen to it, if it sounds like a scratchy audiotape of a cat being strangled…that’s why I don’t like the Dead Kennedys (but they’re speaking out against the establishment…man…), because they don’t sound good to me. Yes, music is subjective.
I want to use this post as an opportunity to share some of my favorite music/art, and hopefully get others to post their recommendations…differing views…differing tastes…differing styles. I’m also going to start having me and my diverse political spectrum crew reviewing CD’s, and posting the information here as well, because if I can’t enlighten you, and bring you to the side of intelligence, incitefulness, and just plain right, then at least I can give you a nice band to download. Josh will feel me here…
