CD Picks
I’ve been in an unusual mood lately. There’s been some interesting career decisions I’ve had to make. It’s nice being in the drivers seat of your own life, being able to look at the job market and say, “I want to do that,” as opposed to, “I need to make a paycheck.” It’s nice to reach that self confidence level to be able to know what you as a member of the work force deserve, and then argue accordingly. Life is a negotiation…but, I digress. I’ve been listening to some good classics by the masters (nothing gets the blood going like Carmina Burana by Orff), and some modern Indie rock, like “Ode to Isis” and the segway into “Will You Smile Again” by …Trail of Dead. Also, check out Cursive for a great front to back album…
Finally, a recommendation from my friend Mark, who I trust and agree with musically, you don’t have to like Cohen’s politics, to know that he’s one of the great songwriters…
