Conspiracy Watch (Enter Creepy Music)

July 17th, 2006

What would I tell you if there was an exclusive left wing group with guaranteed anonymity that consist of nothing but uber-rich liberals required to give at least $255,000 to their member, and various other organizations?

This real club is called Democracy Alliance. It is “estimated that about 70 percent of alliance partners built their own wealth, while 30 percent became wealthy through inheritances.” What? I thought only Republicans got away with passing on their ideology along with their money to their seed.

What gets me is the fact that anonymity is written into the membership…really sets the scene for the rich people working from the shadows, trying to pull strings and influence politicians…without anyone knowing who they are. Aren’t Democrats for everything being out in the open?

The alliance has required organizations that receive its endorsement to sign agreements shielding the identity of donors. Public interest groups said the alliance represents a large source of undisclosed and unaccountable political influence.

When Rob Stein, cofounder of this elite group of rich socialites studied the right, this is what he found:

Stein has closely studied the conservative movement — often with envy. Armed with a PowerPoint presentation for potential donors, he argues that Republicans dominate the federal and many state governments because they methodically made investments in groups that could generate new ideas, shape public opinion, train conservative activists and elected officials, and boost voter turnout among conservatives — aware that there was no near-term payoff. Liberals have done nothing comparable, he said.”(emphasis added)

Even those rich that are trying to turn the gears behind the floundering infrastructure and organization of the Democratic party understand that Liberals don’t think ahead, they don’t look at the long term benefits, and instead focus on the now, blinders on as to how it will affect the future. Stein also aptly commented that liberals have not invested in “New Ideas”, as conservatives have known since…oh…1964.
