Taranto has an eye for Useless Writing
From OpinionJournal.com
“From a Reuters dispatch on the Miami arrests:
It was unclear what impact if any the arrests might have on public opinion ahead of mid-term congressional elections in November, and amid a deep slump in President George W. Bush’s popularity and in public support for the Iraq war.
It is unclear what if anything this completely information-free paragraph has to do with the story. Looks as though Reuters just can’t resist throwing in a jab in against President Bush and Iraq.”
This flies in the face of everyone who says that there is no liberal bias in the media. James Taranto points out how this statement has absolutely no journalistic value. The link to the story now brings up “we’re sorry…this story is not currently available”. (UPDATE: Link now working, article unchanged) This doesn’t mean that the article has been taken down, it may just be a bad link from Opinion Journal, however, a pattern of slanted stories and adjustments can be seen from CNN to Reuters to AP. Any regular reader of Michelle Malkin can document the inconsistencies in the MSM.
