The Stout Republican

John Michael Fabrizi – “I have not used drugs in the past 18 months.” Followed by applause break. The mayor of Bridgeport, CT admits to cocaine use, and this is what happens. There are certain things that I assume when I see an article like this. First, of course, since there is not party mention in the article, he must be a Democrat, (The Media never hesitates to point out Republicans in compromising situations), and second, he probably won’t get the Rush Limbaugh treatment (”see, he’s the devil”), but instead will get the Patrick Kennedy treatment (”he’s seeking the help he needs”). So, here’s the rule of thumb…applause for seeking help, no mention of political party, must be a Democrat.
